Çagimizin modern epilasyon yöntemi Lazer epilasyondur. Dalga boylarina göre farkli lazer tipleri ve cihazlari mevcuttur. Bunlar alexandrite, diode, nd yag ve ruby olarak isimlendirilmektedir. Kil yapisi, cilt rengi ya da uygulama yapilacak vücut bölgesine göre farkli lazerlerin kullanilmasi basariyi artirmaktadir. Olasi yan etki riskini azaltmaktadir. Bazi durumlarda ise ipl ya da mavi isik gibi foto epilasyon yöntemleri tercih edilebilmektedir
